Colored Shotcrete in Molins de Rei

Shotcrete on mountainous terrain is a technique that involves spraying concrete at high pressure onto irregular surfaces to stabilize the ground, prevent landslides, and protect against erosion. For this project, the concrete was pigmented with a custom blend that included ochre pigment 180 and a low dosage of White 00 pigment, aiming to transform the gray concrete into a natural color that blends with the surroundings.

The use of pigmented concrete in landscape projects not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the space but also contributes to architectural integration with the natural environment, reducing the artificial appearance of retaining structures and creating more harmonious and sustainable surroundings.
