KURALON™ is a high-performance synthetic polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber used in the production of UHPC (Ultra-high Performance Concrete) and other industrial applications.
The KURALON™ K-II RF400 12mm fiber, manufactured by Kuraray (the world’s leading producer of PVA fiber), is a high-tenacity fiber produced through a special spinning process, with high mechanical properties, excellent adhesion to cementitious materials, and high resistance to alkalis.
In the concrete industry, PVA fibers are primarily used in applications aimed at improving the ductility, crack resistance, and durability of concrete, without compromising aesthetics or workability. They are especially useful in applications requiring tensile strength and better stress distribution within the material.
Applications:
Primarily used in the production of UHPC, to enhance tensile strength and durability without compromising the smooth surface finish. Its ability to bond strongly with the cement matrix makes it ideal for preventing microscopic cracks.
Also applied in precast elements and decorative architectural structures.
Benefits:
PVA fibers offer additional benefits such as improved alkalinity resistance, greater flexibility, and enhanced durability and crack resistance in concrete.
Enables design flexibility, with curved, decorative, thin, and lightweight panels.
Formats:
10 kg bags. 210 kg pallets.
