Pont de l’Estat

The Pont de l’Estat is a key infrastructure in Tortosa, both for its structural function and its symbolic value within the city’s urban landscape.

For the renovation project, designed by xaa arquitectura (Xevi Bayona, Adrià Villarejo, and Alba Colomer), pigmented concrete has been used in various applications to enhance aesthetics, integration with the surroundings, and the durability of the material exposed to weather conditions and constant traffic.

The project included the pigmentation of both the pavement concrete and the prefabricated elements, using Yellow 13 and Brown 4610 pigments from SC Pigments. The choice of these colors follows a criterion of harmonization with the city’s color palette, creating a visual connection between the infrastructure and its natural surroundings.
